Welcome to planDisney and thanks for your question! What a fantastic aunt you are! I love to hear that you're working to make the planning easier for your niece's upcoming visit.
Since
dining reservations are tied to an individual's Disney account, your niece would need to set them up from her account for her trip. The exception would be if you're planning on visiting with her - if so then you can make the reservation on your Disney account and she can link to the reservation with you! If you're not visiting with her, then we can work together to make it as easy as possible for her to set up her reservation!
My preferred method to create and manage all the different reservations for upcoming trips is through the
My Plans hub on the Disneyland Resort website. From this page, you can see reservations for
theme parks, dining, her Disneyland Resort hotel (if applicable for her trip), and
enchanting extras.
If you'd like to create a new dining reservation, you'll hover over the "Dining" bubble at the top of the page and select "Make a Reservation." This will take you to the dining reservation page that will ask about the party size, date, and time that your niece is hoping to schedule her dining experiences and will show her what's available to book.
Once those reservations are made, she'll be able to see and modify them from the My Plans hub as she continues to get closer to her trip. It's such a helpful tool!
