Have a dining reservation for 8:45 pm and with the park closing at 9:00, will this cause a problem at the Magic Kingdom?

Oh, Linda. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love your question! Thanks for bringing it to us here at planDisney.

Once you pull up your chair, unfold your menu, take a glance, and be our guest at a restaurant, all your worries should melt away. Even if you booked an 8:45 p.m. reservation on a day when Magic Kingdom Park closes at 9 p.m., you can relax because the dining room will still proudly present...your dinner!

While the park may be listed on the calendar as closing 15 minutes after your dining reservation begins, the restaurant itself will not close at that time. The attractions and various other establishments will close at that time, but the park will usually remain open at least an hour after park closing time. The restaurant at which you are dining will simply not take any new tables after 9 p.m. Also, please note that theme park hours can change up to the very last minute, so be sure to check back with the calendar as sometimes hours are extended depending on how many people are visiting the park that day!

But why do I love your question so much? Well, when you're done with your delicious meal, you will have a truly unique experience as many of the Guests that were visiting the park that day will have already exited long before you leave your restaurant. That means you'll be strolling your way out of this magical place with everything lit up beautifully against the night sky and with usually fewer people. Talk about magic! So on your walk out of the park, look back at the spectacularly lit Cinderella Castle, take in the lights of Main Street, U.S.A., and wave goodbye from the front gates of the park as you make your way back to your destination to rest your head and drift off to sleep. And be sure to let your heart make a wish in the form of a dream. A dream of memories made on a magical vacation and wishes for many more in the future.

If you have any other questions, please reach out to me.

A dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep,
    Matt
