    We have a dining reservation for 4 people, but have found out that three friends will be at the park at the same time & want to have lunch. Can we "bring" the three guests to our 4-person dinner when we check in?

    Hi Theresa!  Welcome to planDisney.

    How fun that you will have friends visiting Walt Disney World Resort on the same day!  I can understand that you would like to share a meal with them during your visit.  Since a party of seven cannot be seated at a table for 4, whether or not your party can be accommodated will depend on the restaurant's capacity at the time.  While there are some locations that might have larger tables available, others are likely fully booked by other Guests.

    I have a few ideas for how you can enjoy lunch with your friends:

    • Try searching for a new dining reservation for a party of seven.  Other Guests' plans change all the time, and I have found that sometimes reservations become available a day or two prior to my visit as other Guests cancel unneeded reservations to avoid the cancellation penalty.  While an in-park dining reservation for 7 might be tough to nab, there are many great options at nearby Disney Resorts Collection hotels, and sometimes these locations are a bit easier to book.  I find that escaping the hustle and bustle of the parks for a relaxing meal is just the thing I need to recharge and be ready to hit the parks again.
    • Have your friends look for a reservation for a party of 3 close to the time of your original 4-person reservation.  While there is no guarantee you'll be able to sit together, Cast Members will do their best to try to seat you at nearby tables.
    • Cancel your table-service dining reservation and opt for a quick-service meal with your friends instead, or meet them for dinner instead of lunch.
