    If I have an 8:40 dining reservation at O’Hara (I think that’s the name, the Polynesian ) what time should we leave our hotel, the art of animation?

    Vanessa,

    You are going to love 'Ohana! The food is only surpassed by the atmosphere and the views!

    So the easiest way for you to get from your hotel, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is as follows;

    • Get a bus from your resort to the Magic Kingdom. Buses typically leave every 20 minutes or so, and the ride itself will take about 20 minutes.
    • Walk from the bus station to the Resort Monorail line. That is about 1/4 mile, so let's say 15 minutes or so?
    • The monorail will go around the loop with stops at Disney's Contemporary Resort, the Transportation & Ticket Center, and then to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. That should take about 15 minutes.
    All told it should take you at least 50 minutes from the time that you get on your bus at the Art of Animation. I wold recommend you add at least 15 minutes to that, to be safe. When you are at your resort remember that on the My Disney Experience App you can see when a bus will arrive next for your preferred destination. That may not make the bus come any earlier, but you can check from your room so that you don't miss your bus passing by.

    Have a Magical (and delicious) Vacation!
