I have a dining reservation at Oga’s Cantina, but am looking at a later time slot. It is after park close though. What will I be able to do at the park between close and my reservation?

    Hiya Cassidy,

Welcome to planDisney. I am so glad you stopped by with this great Walt Disney World Resort planning question!

Great job on scoring a hard to get advanced dining reservations for Oga's Cantina at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This is the place for all weary travelers from galaxies far, far away as well as the favorite hang out for all the bounty hunters, smugglers and space travelers spending time on Batuu. Get ready to enjoy plenty of music, entertainment, and refreshing concoctions. I am a big fan of the Bloody Rancor, and for those that will be in charge of the airspeeder later on, the Jabba Juice is very refreshing.

I am not sure what time your reservation is for, but you will have plenty to keep yourself busy before settling in to munch on a Happabore Sampler or listen to the tunes from former Starspeeder 3000 pilot turned DJ, R-3X. Depending on how long you have before your reservation, you can always join an attraction line and get in one last chance to command the Millennium Falcon or wander over to visit Andy's pals in Toy Story Mania. Lines typically stay open until just a few minutes before park closing and you are welcome to jump in a line and enjoy one last ride for the evening. The wait times are usually fairly short at this time of the evening, however if you do not have enough time for an attraction, you can wander around and enjoy Disney's Hollywood Studios. Most stores are open until at least one hour past park closing. That is plenty of time to grab a few last minute gifts for those at home or even that Mickey Mouse baseball cap you had your eye on all day.

If neither of those options work for you, there is one more suggestion, and it is actually my favorite thing to do. Park closing is a perfect time to grab some great photos of you and your gang at the theme park. There are so many amazing photos to be had when the sun goes down and the Hollywood lights come on. Plus, the crowds have usually thinned so the photos are even more amazing. Evening photos on Batuu are out of this world!

Hopefully one of these will help you pass the time before your table is ready. If I can assist with any additional planning help, please stop back and see me

Hope to see ya real soon,
