Hi James!
Welcome back to planDisney.
I really enjoy dining at some of the Disney Resort hotels, and I like to take the opportunity to explore around the hotel and see if it's somewhere I'd like to stay for a future visit. You will love
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge! If you have a reservation, you are most welcome to park your car there while you dine. You just need to inform the Cast Member at the entrance that you have a dining reservation at Boma - Flavors of Africa. I don't know whether you have a breakfast or dinner reservation, but
breakfast at Boma is glorious! I highly recommend you add that to your 'to-do" list if it's not on your schedule for this trip.
My other "must-do" dining reservations at Disney Resort hotels are:
Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (not least for their famous 'Almond-crusted Cheesecake', but also for the location right on the waterfront of Seven Seas Lagoon and the view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the viewing deck, or even from your table if you're lucky) and California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort with another amazing view of the fireworks from the 15th floor of the hotel. I have to also mention my favourite character meal -
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White (at Disney's Wilderness Lodge). I love that Snow White, Dopey and Grumpy will visit you at your table, and then you'll receive an invitation for a photo with the Evil Queen - she's happy to see you, even though you'll never know it!! Try and make her smile!!
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions - you can also
send me a direct question if you wish. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation at Walt Disney World.
Sue
