Are there any dining plans/discounts available to folks not staying at a Disney resort? There will be 12 of us visiting in Oct and I'm looking for ways to save and/or budget for food. It would be nice to give older kids a dining pass vs. $ each day.

    Hi Becky,

I love Walt Disney World in October! It is my favorite month to visit especially with Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

While the Disney Dining Plan is only available to guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you can still save on food and beverages. You can bring food and drinks into the parks. We generally bring water and snacks into the park. This saves us time and money as we are not waiting on lines.

You could give your older kids gift cards instead of cash if it makes it easier.

Mousesavers.com has lots of tips on saving money at Walt Disney World. You can head there to see the best way to save money.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
