Hey there, Eloise! It's my pleasure to meet you here at planDisney and share my affection for the
Disney dining plans. I enjoy the convenience of the dining plans, "paying" for meals with my
Disney Band and tracking the credits on the My Disney Experience app. It's a worry-free philosophy!
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe holds a very special place in my heart. On a girls' trip, we ordered the Mini Churros and watched the
Festival of Fantasy Parade from our seats. The power of a core memory—every time I have a churro, it takes me back to that moment.
I was fairly certain you would be able to order the "Create Your Own" entrée at Pecos Bill without incurring an extra charge for the Green Beef Chili option. I checked with a Cast Member just to be sure, and my assumption was confirmed. You should be all set to enjoy this with your Quick Service credit.
Another favorite quick-serve restaurant in Magic Kingdom Park is
Columbia Harbor House. Friends rave about the Lobster Roll, but I've never tried it. I can't pass up the Maple-Mustard Glazed Salmon. Served with green beans and rice, it's more like a table-service meal.
The app is an excellent tool for managing your plan while on holiday. You can view the number of dining plan credits you have remaining. I like using it for mobile food ordering, especially for snacks, as the mobile menu clearly indicates what qualifies as a snack. You might be surprised at some of the tasty treats you can savor with a snack credit. When you build your meal at a quick-serve location, you can see what you will be charged, whether using dining plan credits or another form of payment.
If you have any questions about whether a menu item is included, the Cast Members at the locations can also help you out.
If you have any other questions, please come see us again at
planDisney. You have a friend in us!
Magic Awaits!
