Welcome to planDisney, Kristin! Thanks for stopping by with your question about the
Disney Dining Plan. I am happy to hear you plan to use this fabulous service during your upcoming vacation in February. The Dining Plan is a great way to budget for delicious meals in the parks and resorts before your vacation.
During vacation, I often race toward my sweet tooth's desires, finding myself in a Sugar Rush like Vanellope von Schweetz, but after a few days, my stomach is wrecked. So, while I love that a dessert is included in the table-service meals when using the Disney Dining Plan, sometimes I would also prefer an appetizer. The Disney Dining Plan does not allow for substitutions, though you could ask your server if an exception can be made. If you are looking for more savory food than sweet, you can use your table-service credit for a family-style or buffet meal, loading up on the savory options while skipping the sweet. Some of my favorite
table-service buffet and family-style restaurants that accept the Disney Dining Plan are
Boma – Flavors of Africa,
Biergarten Restaurant,
Ohana,
Liberty Tree Tavern, and
Garden Grill Restaurant.
I hope you have an unforgettable visit to
The Most Magical Place on Earth! If we can answer any more of your vacation questions, stop by planDisney anytime.
