Hello. We got the dining plan included with our reservation in November. My son is 12. Does that mean that his dining plan is for adult meals? Also, if he decides not to order an adult meal, can he order from the children's menu? Thanks so much!

Hi Jessica!   Your trip will be coming up very soon!   Have you started a countdown yet? The Disney Dining Plan is such a great value to add to a vacation package at Walt Disney World.  I am so glad  your family will be able to save about 15% off the cost of food while on your trip.

At Disney an "adult" is considered anyone age 10 and older.   So yes, your son would be able to order adult meals on your Disney Dining Plan.  I have found that most restaurants will accommodate someone who would like to order a selection from the children's menu,  they would just scale the portions to fit more of an adult appetite.  On my last trip my husband (who is the biggest kid in my family)  decided to order the dessert from the children's menu instead of choosing one from the main choices.   They had no problem providing him with an ice-cream sundae complete with cookie Mickey ears.  When your son is craving chicken nuggets or cheese pizza, please let a Cast Member know and they will do all they can to accommodate your request.

I hope you have a great vacation with your family.   If you have any other questions before you depart on your adventure, please let me know.   I love to help fellow Disney-loving families have the most magical time possible on a Walt Disney World vacation.

    Dream as Dreamers Do,
