Thanks for coming to the Disney Parks Moms Panel for your vacation planning needs, Katie! We're happy to help!
Generally speaking, guests can use one of their
Disney Dining Plan Table-Service Meal credits at a Quick-Service location. This is not an official Disney policy, however, and these types of exchanges are always at the discretion of the dining establishment. I would also not recommend doing it if you are looking to get the best bang for your buck.
I'm usually up at the crack of dawn at the 180-day mark, ready to make my advance dining reservations, but there have been times when life gets in the way, and I haven't been as timely. Although some fan favorites, such as Cinderella's Royal Table and California Grill, probably won't be available, I've been able to snag a last-minute reservation at some great places, especially if willing to eat an early dinner or a late lunch. Some of my favorites are:
*
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen*
Monsieur Paul*
Yak & Yeti Restaurant*
The Wave... of American Flavors*
1900 Park Fare*
Kona CafeIf the reason for not booking more Table-Service meals is due to time constraints, you might want to think about downgrading to the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan. Something else to consider would be to dine at a
Signature Restaurant, which requires two Table-Service credits. I find that these are magical experiences, and the food is always more unique and delicious (
Jiko is my top pick). This might be a better way to use those credits without having to schedule a sit-down meal every night.
I hope this helps, Katie! Have a magical holiday, and we hope to see ya' real soon!
