We have the dining plan for the first time with 1 snack, 1 quick service meal and 1 sit-down. Which restaurants are a must? What's the best way to go about planning when to use the meals AND will it save us $$ rather than to pack lunches etc. Thanks!!

Hey Ashley! My family has purchased the Disney Dining Plan many times and I can honestly say that it is a great value for my family of six. My best recommendation is to choose table-service meals that are more expensive so that you get the most bang for your buck. Most of the table-service restaurants only require one dining entitlement, but Signature Dining Locations will require two table-service entitlements. Follow the link I provided above to view the PDF for the Dining Plan you have chosen, which lists participating restaurants and how many entitlements are needed at those locations. If you have children, booking a Character Dining Experience is a great value as these are rather expensive meals. Our favorites are Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort and 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast at Disney's Polynesian Resort. Our favorite non-character dining locations include 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort, Teppan Edo, located in the Japan Pavilion in Epcot, Les Chefs de France in the France Pavilion in Epcot, and Le Cellier Steakhouse, located in the Canada Pavilion in Epcot. I would recommend checking out the unofficial website allears.net to view the Disney Restaurant menus and pricing. When using this plan, we usually take breakfast items to enjoy in the room on a few days so that we can use our quick-service meals in the park.On days that we will be enjoying the resort and not visiting a park, we may change it up a bit and use our quick-service meal for a late hearty breakfast and then enjoy an early table-service meal at one of the Disney Resorts or Downtown Disney.Snack entitlements can also be redeemed for breakfast pastries. I am out of room, but please feel free to write back with any other questions regarding the Disney Dining Plan or if I can offer more restaurant suggestions.
    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
