Bonjour, Tara!
Monsieur Paul is the signature restaurant located upstairs from Chefs de France in
Epcot. The restaurant was named after the legendary Paul Bocuse who was known for the high quality of his restaurants and his innovative approaches to French cuisine. When walking to your table, take a moment to look at the pictures of the Bocuse family on the walls. I dined here last yEAR, and take it from me that the window tables are worth waiting for, so try requesting one when you check in.
Monsieur Paul offers a couple of prix fixe menus, with the more popular one being the Menu Prestige. This three-course meal is two Table Service entitlements on the
Disney Dining Plan plus an additional upcharge. There's also the more extravagant Menu Dégustation Tasting Menu which includes six courses that are personally selected by the chef. However, you can always choose to order off the a la carte menu if you're on the Dining Plan (which is what I did). This option will still cost two Table Service entitlements (but without the upcharge), and you can order an entrée, a dessert, and a beverage, including wine, for Guests 21 and older. Do your best not to fill up on the delicious French baguettes baked right on the premises! For my entrée, I thoroughly enjoyed the Black Sea Bass, which was presented with crispy potato scales and a rosemary sauce. Of course, no visit to a gourmet French restaurant would be complete without dessert. The Milk Chocolate Sphere was the perfect sweet ending, especially when my server poured the warm chocolate sauce on top! Afterwards, head over to watch
Impressions de France, which is my absolute favorite attraction in World Showcase.
Bon appétit, Tara!
