I am going to get a dining plan, I want to get the deluxe plan, but the wife does not think we will use all the meals. But im worried that the dining plus plan is not enough, like for the charcter dining and such. I can afford both

    Hi Thomas,

This is such a common situation for guests - do I get the Basic or Deluxe Dining Plan? This really is up to you and how your family eats and tours.

I would upgrade to the Deluxe if you have any of the following:
    1. Big eaters especially teenagers. You receive a side, drink, dessert and main meal at table service meals which is a lot of food.
    2. You will be enjoying more expensive restaurants. This is not just Character meals but places like California Grill or the Brown Derby where the food is more expensive.
    3. You will be attending two or more Character meals or Hoop Dee Doo Revue or Ohana. These require two table service meals.

If you do not fit in one of those categories, your wife may be right. To verify, go to allearsnet.com and look at the menu prices for the restaurants you have made Advance Dining Reservations at during your vacation. This will give you an estimate of the cost of your meals. Now you can make your case to your wife about purchasing the Deluxe Dining Plan.

    Have a great trip!
