Welcome back to planDisney, Cheryl! I’m so glad to hear you’re thinking about adding the
Disney Dining Plan to your vacation. It really does make dining feel so easy, since meals are already taken care of, so when the bill comes it’s all “Hakuna Matata,” as Timon and Pumbaa would say!
I can tell you’re a girl after my own heart. Coffee is non-negotiable in the morning for me too, but on vacation, a mimosa is always a nice option! With the Dining Plan, each Quick-Service or Table-Service meal includes one beverage, and that can be a nonalcoholic option like coffee, tea, or soda or a single-serving specialty drink (including alcoholic beverages for Guests 21 and older). The only thing is, you will have to choose between one or the other as part of the plan. Personally, I’d go for the mimosa and just pay out of pocket for the coffee, and then you have the best of both worlds!
If you’re still thinking about dining reservations, a few of my favorite brunch spots on the Dining Plan where you can sip a great mimosa are
Boma at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (extra magical if they’ll mix it with POG juice),
Kona Café at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and
Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. I may or may not have a couple of those on my own upcoming itinerary just for this reason.
Since your visit coincides with the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, you’ll also get to taste your way around the world with lots of unique bites and sips! Many food items can be redeemed with snack credits, so just look for the purple and white Dining Plan logo on the menus (alcoholic beverages, however, can’t be redeemed with snack credits).
I hope this clears things up, Cheryl! Here’s to magical mornings filled with coffee AND mimosas!
See ya real soon,
Eean
