    There use to be a Dining phone number for Large groups or gatherings? I am trying to get character dining reservations for a group of 16 at the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall on October 28th.

    Hi, Tonya! I think what you are remembering is the Grand Gatherings service. Unfortunately, the Grand Gatherings Program at Walt Disney World was discontinued in January of 2012. If you are trying to make Advance Dining Reservations online, it can sometimes be difficult for a group that large, and I find that I have a much easier time talking to a Cast Member on the phone at (407) 939-1947. However, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is relatively popular, and Guests were able to start booking six months in advance, so it may be that it's not going to be possible to book a group of sixteen just two weeks before you hope to dine.
