Which dining experience will be more memorable for an 8-y girl, Sci Fi Dinner or Play 'n Dine at H&V? We are doing other 3 character meals (including RC) but I cant make up my mind at HW Studios, PH Disney characters are not really for her age anymore

I would skip the Play 'n Dine meal. It is very much geared to younger children who actively watch the current Playhouse Disney programs. We took our daughters there last year when they were 7 and 10, because one of our girls had once had a thing for JoJo's Circus. My girls were about the oldest kids in the place. Other than JoJo, they didn't know any of the characters. There is also a fair amount of singing and game-playing that is part of this character meal experience. My kids didn't know the songs and were not able to participate. My eldest daughter, who loves character meals and is normally a real trooper, was miserable here.

On the other hand, I can recommend the Sci-Fi Diner. In my opinion, the quality of the food is fine, but sometimes not as good as other Disney restaurants. However, the atmosphere is really fun and unique. You sit in these faux automobiles facing a screen just like you're in a drive-in movie theater. The screen shows clips from these really campy old sci-fi films. This is just pure, silly fun. My kids think it's a blast.
