Is the ding plan coming back before March and if so can it still be add to our trip?

Hello there, Roger! Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping back by and allowing us to help you plan your spring vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!

Dining at Walt Disney World Resort is one of my family’s favorite features of our own vacations! There are so many different options that range from grab-and-go quick service dishes to elegant Signature dining locations that feature the best of fine dining. Regardless of your needs and wants, there will most certainly be an option that is practically perfect for you and your family!

The Disney Dining Plan is a great way to pre-pay for your meals throughout your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel typically have the option of adding one of four Disney Dining Plans to their reservation including the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, the Disney Dining Plan, the all-new Disney Dining Plan Plus, and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. When Walt Disney World Resort re-opened last year, it was announced that the Disney Dining Plan would be unavailable until further notice. At this time, an official return date for the Disney Dining Plan has not been released.

While we eagerly await the return of the Disney Dining Plan, there are quite a few dining tips and tricks you may want to consider taking advantage of during your upcoming vacation! The first one is the addition of Mobile Ordering on the My Disney Experience app. This is an excellent, time-saving option that allows Guests to order their meals and snacks directly from their smart phone from anywhere during your stay. All you need to do is click “Order Food” on the My Disney Experience app, select an available restaurant, pick your arrival time, and choose the delicious dishes you and your family would like to order. Then, you will let the dining location know you have arrived by clicking the “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” button. You will then receive a notification when your food is ready to be retrieved from the “Mobile Order Pick Up” area of the restaurant. This option is incredibly simple and a great way to spend less time waiting in line!

Another new addition is the ability to check Walk-Up Availability at table service dining locations from the My Disney Experience app! If you would like to eat at a specific table service dining location but you do not have reservations, you can use the app to check if participating restaurants have availability and add your party to the walk-up list. Once a table becomes available, you’ll be notified to proceed to your chosen dining location. This conveniently allows for more flexibility in your plans while also minimizing contact with others!

I hope you have an absolutely magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort this March! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you prior to or even during your vacation!
