Hi, Hanxi! I bet you're getting excited...only a few short weeks until you're hanging out with Mickey and his pals!
I love runDisney race weekends! There's so much buzz (including Buzz Lightyear) and energy throughout the Parks! As with many race weekends, however, I don't think you'll notice a substantial increase in the overall crowd level at Walt Disney World Resort due to the
Wine and Dine Half Marathon. In my experience, although there are more guests than usual at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels, the attraction wait times at the theme parks don't seem to be impacted very much (the one Park that may be busier than normal is Epcot, due to the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival).
The only thing you will probably encounter is some road closures on race mornings, so factor in some extra time to get to your destination, especially if you're trying to get there for rope drop! I took a peek at the
Park Hours Calendar, and it looks like
Magic Kingdom Park will open at 8:00 AM on Saturday, November 2, and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park will begin greeting guests at 9:00 AM on Sunday, November 3. I recommend talking to the front desk at your
Disney Springs Area Hotel and get their advice about the quickest way to get to the Parks on those mornings. Since many guests will be busy running those magical miles, the early morning hours will be the perfect time for you to ride your favorite attractions!
I'm so glad you reached out to us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Hanxi! If there's anything else we can do for you, remember we're all ears!
