Welcome to planDisney, Michele! As much as I enjoy a day at the
Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, there's nothing like snuggling into a cozy bed at my Disney Resort Hotel. And while I consider myself "fun-sized," I do have tall family members. I understand travel can sometimes be challenging for them, so let's look at some options to make your next visit comfortable...and magical!
I have a camper and know its queen bed is slightly larger than a standard queen because regular queen sheets wouldn't fit! But after chatting with a well-rested Cast Member, I can tell you that the queen beds in all
Disney Resort Hotels are the standard queen dimensions of 60" wide by 80" long. She told me that the mattresses are all ordered from the same company and are the same size. So, the queen beds at
Disney's Pop Century Resort will be the same size as those at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.
If you think those queen beds are still too small for your sleeping prince, I recommend booking a room with a king-size bed. Both resorts you mentioned offer rooms with one king bed and will accommodate two adults. If you think the queen beds will suffice, you'll have several options of room configurations at both resorts, including a 5th sleeper at Caribbean Beach Resort if you'll have a larger party.
While I have had fabulous stays at both resorts, I always gravitate toward Disney's Pop Century. The theming here is so colorful and bright; it never fails to make me smile! And the newly refurbished touches, like the shower doors and under-bed storage, make this Value Resort tops in my book!
Michele, I hope your next visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth is full of recreation and relaxation. Please feel free to
stop by planDisney if you have any other questions. I'll keep the pillows fluffed!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
