What is the dimensions of the deck at the cabins at Fort Wilderness at Disney World? Can we put a pop up canopy on the deck?

    Hello Tony!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.   I see you are planning an adventure in the great outdoors during a stay at The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.     These fun little home away from homes are some of my favorite rooms to stay at when on vacation.   You have a full size kitchen and room for six.  My family really enjoys it, especially my teenage daughter because she can bring a friend along on our trips.   I hope you have a great time.

I do not have the exact dimensions of the deck,  all cabins will have a deck except the two cabins located on the 100 loop.   I have stayed quite a few times and would say these decks are approximately 8 feet wide by 12 feet long.  Keep in mind this is just an estimate.   The last time I stayed you were not allowed to set anything up on the decks like a tent or canopy.   You will have a picnic table to use as well as a small charcoal grill.   There are also two entrances to the cabin from the deck and if you did set up a canopy it could possibly block these.   We often ate dinner on our deck and had our morning coffee and breakfast as well.    We never had any issues as the food could be kept in the kitchen which has a large full size refrigerator.    I do suggest you enjoy some time on the deck, especially in the evenings.  We saw lots of wildlife when we were on our last trip.   A very wooded area was behind us and deer would come rather close to our cabin.  It was really neat to see.

I hope this has helped to guide you on your way to an unforgettable vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort.   If I can answer anything else for you, please don't hesitate to ask.
