Dilemma:Should we switch our days at EP/HS in order to see Fantasmic if doing so would mean we would be going to both parks on more crowded days and our bkfst ADR @ H&V would have to be after the park opens instead of an hour before opening?

Hi Janice! The answer to this one depends largely on what's important to your family. Do you hate crowds or have small children who are impatient if they have to wait a while in line for the attractions? Does your family love fireworks and shows?

Many people schedule their Disney vacations around the Fantasmic and fireworks schedules. If your family loves being in the parks in the evenings and seeing these spectacular shows, you'd probably want to change your touring plans to be sure you won't miss Fantasmic. It really is an amazing show.

My family, however, tends to value avoiding crowds more than seeing Fantasmic. We generally elect to arrive at the parks before opening and to take advantage of morning Extra Magic Hours so that we can experience lots of attractions with minimal waiting. By doing so, we usually can hit all the major attractions in a park by early afternoon, but the trade off is that you'll rarely see us at Fantasmic or the evening shows because we're too tired by that point, and those shows are often crowded, which reduces the fun factor for us. Personally, I would plan to visit the less crowded parks and to have breakfast before the park opens so that the crucial early morning touring time is not lost. For me, the vacation is more relaxing and fun if I don't spend a lot of time waiting in lines. However, if you've never seen Fantasmic, your family loves shows, and your children are not too little to be cranky in the evening and scared by the Fantasmic story, you may find it worthwhile to rearrange your schedule.

Hope you have a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
