What is the difference between a Villa and a Lock-Off Villa at Bay Lake Tower? Also, if you stay there and are NOT a DVC member is there daily mousekeeping or is the towel service only on the 4th and 8th days? Thanks!

    Hi Teresa,

A lock off villa combines a one bedroom and a studio to give you a two bedroom villa. Since the villa can be used as a two bedroom or as a one bedroom and studio, you lock off the other guests from entering each other rooms. Think of it as any adjoining rooms where there is a connecting door.

There are two bedroom villas which do not have this feature and are all one unit. The lock off allows flexibility for guests to book the rooms they need. I have stayed in a two bedroom lock off and it is nice because on family can have complete privacy when they want it yet when the rooms are open to one another it is still comfortable.

Because these resorts are consider members "homes", towel service is offered on day 4 and then a complete towel and linen swap happens on day 8. However, you can pay for daily "mousekeeping" if you like whether you are a member or not.

I usually just stick with the service offered as we spend little time in the room.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
