What is the difference between a standard room, water view, and preferred room at Port Orleans Riverside? Are they in certain buildings?

    Hi Davie,

Thanks for your question which is one that most guests have but might be afraid to ask.

At all resorts a standard room is just that standard. It has the basic necessities but may be near a parking lot, toward the back of a resort or far from the amenities.

A water view room will have you overlooking a water feature at a resort such as the pool or the lagoons.

A preferred room will have you near amenities such as dining, pool or bus stops.

All of these room types are sprinkled throughout the resort. In general, the better the view or amenities the more expensive the room so you need to weigh these features when planning your trip. Also, if it is a water view room, you may be close to the pool but further from the food court.

When I stay at Port Orleans Riverside, I like to stay in the mansions of Magnolia Terrace. I find that this location is easy to get to the main building and swimming. However, for me personally, they are easier to find at night. I always get lost in the bungalow section.

I hope you have a magical vacation!
