Hiya Ione,
Welcome back to planDisney! We've chatted briefly about the
Disney Dining Plan in your previous question (specifically the table service meals), but now let's dive back in and talk about the plan's quick service meal and snack portions!
So as I mentioned previously, the Disney Dining Plan includes one sit-down table service meal, one quick-service meal, and one snack/nonalcoholic drink per night for each person in your family (3 years and older). A quick service meal encompasses one entrée and one beverage (it can be an alcoholic beverage if you are 21 years and older). So, for example, if you went to
Flame Tree Barbecue at Animal Kingdom, one of my favorites, a quick service meal could look like the Ribs, Chicken, and Pulled Pork Sampler plus a Bubbling Pink Lagoon as a drink. A snack on the dining plans is a single-serving item that can include anything from Mickey Ice Cream bars to select items at the outdoor kitchens at EPCOT festivals. A snack credit can also be used for a fountain beverage. Unfortunately, the specific items that qualify as snack items are subject to change, so you won't find an official list of the offerings on the website. Luckily, one of my favorite people, Mandy, discovered an easy
way to get an idea of what is currently offered as a snack credit using the My Disney Experience mobile app.
I hope this was helpful, Ione. Don't forget that you don't have to use one snack credit per day. You can use multiple in one day or hold them all until it is time to check out. My family and I like to use our snack credits to grab treats to take home to ease the transition out of the magic. We wait until the last day of our trip, stop by the
Main Street Confectionary, and use up whatever credits we have left.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
