What is the difference between Purple, Purple/Yellow, and Yellow Flags on the Sassagoula River Cruise?

    Hello Ian!

Ready to float on a little pixie-dusted adventure? The Sassagoula River is a waterway that carries water taxis through the woods and past some of Walt Disney World’s most enchanting resorts: Port Orleans Riverside, Port Orleans Resort French Quarter, Disney’s Old Key West Resort, and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa (including the clever Treehouse Villas). Your journey will begin or end at Disney Springs.

Each of the flags indicates the destination of the water craft: yellow sails to Port Orleans Riverside, purple sails to Port Orleans French Quarter, yellow /purple stops at both Port Orleans resorts, Blue sails to Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Treehouse Villas, while Green sails to Old Key West.  I hope that helps you to navigate this lovely waterway!

My spouse and I have been known to catch the purple route just to enjoy some warm beignets at Scat Cat's Club Cafe! Have a magical sail to or from Disney Springs and beyond!

    See ya real soon,
    Anne

Meet the Panelist: Anne, Iowa

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother.  One of my favorite things to do is to travel with multi-generational groups. I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures. Learn More About Anne
