How to get from Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House to Fort Wilderness bike shop to rent kayak?

    Hi Lucille!

Welcome to planDisney!  Adventure is out there - especially at these two resorts!  There are some great activities available for guests at the hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection!  In fact, you can spend entire days outside of the theme parks resort hopping.

Lucille, while Walt Disney World Resort does not offer direct complimentary transportation between these two resorts, there are a few options that I can share.  My personal preference would be to take a bus from Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House to Magic Kingdom Park and then hop on a water taxi to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.  Alternatively, you could also take a bus to any of the other three theme parks or Disney Springs and then board the bus to Fort Wilderness.  If you're looking for a more direct route, you can always make use of a rideshare service.  While you will have to pay for this option, it will certainly save you time.  You can also find Minnie Vans in the Lyft app!

Either before or after your kayak rental, you may want to take some time to explore more of the great activities around Ft. Wilderness.  My panelist pal, Elaine, recently went horseback riding and shared her experience on the planDisney Instagram page - it looks incredible!  If you're not interested in riding, you can still say hi to the horses at Tri-Circle-D Ranch and maybe even reserve a carriage ride.

Lucille, I hope you have a wonderful time exploring Ft. Wilderness during your visit!  Please feel free to stop by and see us again with any other vacation planning questions you have in the future!

    See ya real soon!
