What is the difference between the preferred room and a pool room at the Pop Century resort? Can you get a standard pool room close to the food court? What building would you ask for? Thanks!

Hi Susan! That's an excellent question, as the distinction between preferred and standard rooms at Pop Century can be a bit confusing. Preferred rooms are those that are closest to the Classic Hall lobby, which includes the Everything Pop Food Court and bus stop. Both standard and preferred rooms have sub-categories of standard views or pool views. If you want to be closest to the Food Court, I would request buildings one or ten, with seven and eight being the furthest. My preference is buildings two to six, as they have views of Hourglass Lake.

Pop Century is an awesome resort, and I find it much more manageable then some of the larger resorts. There is also a lovely bridge that you can walk over to visit the neighbouring Art of Animation Resort, which has one of my favourite food courts.

Hope this helps! Write us back with any other questions as you plan your magical vacation!
