chEARs Paulette!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am assuming you are talking about
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, as you mentioned an outer
Club Level building. So, I will happily lay out the differences and similarities of the Royal Palm Club and the Sugar Loaf Building for you! Before we get started, though, let me assure you that you will not need to leave the building to access your
Club Level lounge.
The Sugar Loaf Building is in one of the Outer Lodges of the Resort. You enter via MagicBand only, and will immediately be greeted by the Lounge and fantastic Concierge Staff. I’ve heard this Lounge described as the more “casual” of the Clubs. Think more families, and a bit more grab and go. If you choose this Club, your room will be in the same building.
The Royal Palm Club is on the third through fifth floors of the
Main Building, and it is magnificent! If you’ve ever dreamed of being Cinderella, this is where dreams come true! From the Lounge, you can overlook the Grand Lobby and listen to the Grand Orchestra play a live set in the evening. You’ll find the food on the fourth floor, and will have plenty of options to enjoy in the spacious accommodations. If you choose this Club, your
hotel room will be in the Main Building.
Paulette, as a Club Level Guest, you have access to both lounges. So if you happen to be close to the
Marina and want a quick snack, you can drop into the Sugar Loaf Lounge. When you arrive, verify this, as sometimes rules change!
I KNOW you will have a marvelous time! I hope your visit is practically perfect in every way.
