what's the difference in the e-tickets and e-mail ticket option?

You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney, Tiffany!

Thanks for stopping by with your question.

You must be thinking about purchasing theme park tickets to The Most Magical Place on Earth! That is so very exciting. What I love about Walt Disney World Resort is that it’s for everyone. Whether you’re a foodie, a thrill-seeker, or quite the opposite, big or small Mouseketeer, you’re going to find something to do that suits your taste!

Tiffany, when purchasing your theme park tickets, you will be given these options for shipping:

Email (which would be your e-ticket/e-mail ticket option)
U.S. Domestic Standard shipped via U.S. Postal Service
U.S. Domestic Express, which has a delivery fee shipped via UPS
International Express, which has a delivery fee shipped via UPS

If you choose the Email option for your tickets, you can create a digital pass called Disney MagicMobile on your My Disney Experience Mobile app! This is a contactless way to enter the parks, and since it works through your phone, it’s super convenient! You can also purchase a new MagicBand, which will link to your My Disney Experience account, and it will act as your ticket; you’ll have to tap it at the entrance, and you’re good to go. Of course, if you have an older MagicBand, you would be able to use that, as well.

If none of these options work, you would be able to take your confirmation email, and the source of payment (including the original credit card, PayPal transaction receipt, Disney Gift Card, or Disney Rewards Redemption Card used during the purchase), and a valid ID to the Will Call windows located at the entrance of all theme parks to pick up your tickets.

Before purchasing your tickets, I would recommend you check the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar because Disney Park Pass reservations are required along with your tickets to enter a theme park currently. Once you have figured out your visit dates, do be sure to make your Disney Park Pass reservations as soon as you purchase your tickets.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the magic, Tiffany! Have an enchanting time!
