I take it from some of the dialog that the Narnia exhibit no longer exists. What would be a suitable replacement for my 12 year old grand daughter and her mom who are visiting with my wife and me in June 2012?

Hi James, You are correct that the Narnia exhibit did close late last year. In my opinion, it was a fairly minor attraction that had little impact on the touring plans of most guests. Virtually everything else at Disney's Hollywood Studios is fine for a 12 year old. I have twin 12 year old daughters myself and I can't think of a single thing at DHS that they haven't done and enjoyed. If you're looking for another walk-through type exhibit, you may want to consider the Walt: One Man's Dream attraction. This gives a history of Disney and is fascinating for many young teens. The Great Movie ride and the Backstage ride at DHS have a somewhat similar feel. Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if we can provide additional assistance.
