Hello. We have dessert party and plaza garden fireworks viewing tickets. Can we leave the viewing area to ride a few rides and then come back to the viewing area before the fireworks? Thank you.

    Hi Beth!

    Welcome to planDisney!

I recently enjoyed the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Post-Party with my family, and I’m happy to report that we were able to come and go whenever we wanted as we waited for the fireworks to begin.

Upon checking in to the party, we received a wristband and a Cast Member showed us to the viewing area. From there, we were able to snag a spot for the fireworks or leave the area for a bit, then return later.

We opted to do some souvenir shopping before checking into the dessert post-party, so my boys were happy to play with their new toys (and the glow sticks I brought along from home!) while we waited for the fireworks to start. But others left the area without any issues.

It’s good to note that the Plaza Garden viewing area is shared between those attending the pre-party and the post-party. So, as the Happily Ever After fireworks showtime gets closer, the area fills up quickly. If you don’t mind where you stand within that viewing area, it won’t be an issue to leave the area for a bit. But if you’re hoping for a spot up front, I recommend sticking around to save your spot.

I hope that helps! And enjoy every second of that dessert party! Let us know if you have any other questions.
