Hello, I am desperate and need your help. We are having a huge family reunion starting January 12, in the park. I tried to reserve Sunday, January 14 tickets, but they are not available. I am desperate for 14 tickets into the park to be with the others.

    Hi there, Rebecca!

Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you found us as you work on getting your Donald Ducks in a row for your big family adventure next week!

Rebecca, I just headed over to the Disneyland official website to see if I could purchase 14 admission tickets. However, it does not appear that there is availability for Sunday, January 14th, at the time that I am writing this.

I hate to give you bad news, but if the online calendar isn't showing any availability, trying to snag tickets in person won't change that – the reservation scene remains the same. Fingers crossed that some ‘Magic Happens’ for you because spots open up as other guests' plans shift around. I suggest you behave like our friend Dory and just keep swimming back to the reservations page frequently to see if any reservations are open.

Pro tip: Especially for larger groups, it’s always best to secure theme park tickets and reservations early on to save you from last-minute worries.

Now, Rebecca, I've got a fun idea for your weekend with Ohana! One of my favorite things to do at the resort for special occasions is to book a character dining experience like Goofy's Kitchen or, my personal fave, the Storytellers Café. The best part: No theme park tickets required!

Currently, I can see some early morning slots at Goofy’s Kitchen on the 14th. Imagine dining with your favorite characters – don't forget your appetite and, of course, your camera for those magical moments. I had a blast at Storyteller's Café on Christmas Eve when my Magic Key was blocked last month. Chip and Dale practically set up camp at our table – my little Mouseketeer ran out of things to chat about with them!

I hope you are able to get your tickets and reservations purchased so that you can experience all the magic at The Happiest Place on Earth this Sunday, Rebecca! If not, I hope this information helped you think of other ways to enjoy the resort, even without a theme park ticket. If you have any more questions, feel free to send me another message for a quicker response now that you've got a friend in me!  I’d love to share my favorite tips for your next trip to the Disneyland Resort.

    See ya real soon!
