Is there a designated section for wheelchairs/scooters to watch the fireworks? Is there a dessert or dining package that offers preferred viewing of the fireworks or projection shows?

Why hello there, Nadia, and welcome to planDisney!

It's wonderful to have you here and thanks so much for submitting your question to us! I'm happy to see that you have a visit to the Disneyland Resort later this year. For me, no summer was complete without a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth and I think you'll be here at a wonderful time, when the days are warm and the nights are cool and comfortable.

I'm happy to report that there are specific areas set aside for Guests with wheelchairs or electric conveyance vehicles (ECVs) during nighttime spectaculars. For instance, I spoke to a Cast Member at a recent showing of World of Color - ONE and was informed that there is an area for Guests with mobility issues towards the bridge to Pixar Pier, to the left of the main viewing area. They recommended that you contact a Cast Member approximately 60 to 90 minutes before showtime and they would be able to guide you further. It will be first-come, first-served, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time. I would also encourage you to read through the available Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities before your visit so you can be better prepared.

If you'd like a more exclusive experience, then a Dining or Dessert Package is definitely the way to go! You can view a selection of what's available at the Dining Events page. My friend and fellow panelist Amanda absolutely loves the World of Color Dessert Party and makes it a point to reserve that whenever possible. And with the return of Fantasmic! on May 24, 2024, many Guests have shown considerable interest in Fantasmic! Dining Packages

If you're interested in fireworks over Disneyland Park, one experience that I might recommend is the Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace. It'll give you a great view of the skies over the Park but the audio soundtrack isn't piped in, so you might not get the full effect and you won't be able to view the projections.

Whatever you decide to do, I'm sure you'll have a spectacular time because you're at the Happiest Place on Earth! Don't forget that Pixar Fest will be going on, so be sure to brush up on your Pixar movie trivia. I've already been hearing some great things about Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular.

Nadia, I hope that was enough information for you to plan your trip with some foreknowledge. If you have any further questions, please feel free to write back to us anytime because you're always welcome at planDisney! We'd love to continue being involved with your trip. Until next time!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
