Are there any designated cell phone charging locations within the parks? Using the My Disney app drains my battery in short order!

    Hi Phyllis,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I hear you on this issue!  Between taking pictures and videos, using the My Disney Experience mobile app, being on social media, I seem to be on my phone non-stop when I'm in the theme parks.  I'm usually lucky if I make it until lunch before my phone battery dies.  My go-to solution is a portable phone charger that I carry with me and then use when my phone is about to die.  It usually gets me through the rest of the day and having it with me doesn't mean I have to take a side trip to find a place to plug my phone in to charge up.  There are lots of options available on the market that are affordable and easy-to-find.  I have a small "lipstick" charger that was less than $10, works great and easily fits in the small bag I carry with me during the day.  I think you'd be happy with that option, even as a back-up.

In terms of where to "plug in" when you're in the parks, I've heard that Guest Relations may be able to help.  If you stop by and leave your device and charging cable, they may be able to charge your phone for you as a courtesy.  At Magic Kingdom, there are also charging stations near the "Tangled" restrooms as you head from Fantasyland toward Liberty Square (just look for the wooden tree stumps) and in Storybook Circus.  These are not secure locations, so you'll need to stay with your device as it charges.  For a short time, there were cell phone charging lockers in some locations, but I've heard there were removed a few months back.

I hope that helps, Phyllis, and wishing you a most magical vacation!  Please stop by again if we can help answer any other questions.
