My dh is deploying to Afghanistan in April. the only time we can fit in a WDW trip between now and then is Jan 28-Feb 4. If Splash Mountain isnt open, we'd rather wait to go as that is our kids fav ride. When will refurbishment schedule for Jan be availabl

    Hi Gayle,

Please thank your husband for his service to our country and thank you and your family for allowing him to take care of protecting our country. Having spent time with families at United States Military Academy at West Point, I realize the dedication your family to our country.

The refurbishment schedule is usually published about six months prior to the maintenance occurring as a general rule. If you so not see Splash Mountain on the list by September, you should be set to enjoy your favorite ride provided nothing else prevents it from being open.

I will tell you to prepare to get wet in January as the water does not evaporate so the splashes are even bigger!!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
