Ahoy there, Mary,
Welcome aboard planDisney! I'm so excited for you as you embark on your first Disney Cruise Line voyage! You are going to love the
Disney Magic!
Rapunzel's Royal Table, one of your
rotational dining venues, is so much fun. Say "hi" to the Snuggly Duckling Thugs for me!
The new Disney Cruise Line terminal at
Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale is convenient to several hotels and the Fort Lauderdale International Airport, making transfers in and out a breeze. To secure a Disney Cruise Line transfer from a hotel to the port, you must
book your pre-stay hotel through Disney Cruise Line. Currently, there are two hotels to choose from: Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina and B Ocean Resort. I have stayed at the Hilton property and it was fabulous. There are plenty of hotels near the port that may provide transportation or a quick app-based car service ride away if you would rather go that route.
Mary, if you are anything like me, you will start planning your next Disney cruise before this cruise is over. I highly recommend considering a
placeholder onboard booking which is an onboard exclusive opportunity to make a deposit toward a future cruise, plus receive a discount on the fare. You don't have to select an itinerary at the time of booking your placeholder. You have 24 months to cruise on this offer and if you decide not to, your deposit is fully refundable. There are some
blockout dates and terms and conditions that apply, but I've always been able to use mine. To book a placeholder, just check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app while on board and follow the prompts or stop by Guests Services (on Deck 4) or the Disney Vacation Planning Desk (on Deck 3) if you have any questions. Remember, this offer is only valid during your cruise!
Please let us know if you have other questions for your maiden voyage, and then stop by again when you are ready to plan your next Disney cruise adventure!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
