Hello Susan!
I am so excited that the newest addition to the
Disney Vacation Club, the much anticipated
Disney’s Riviera Resort is finally open! From the photos I have seen this week, and the tour I took of the model rooms, I think
Disney’s Riviera Resort is going to be very popular with Guests. Everything is elegant, yet with whimsical touches of Disney found everywhere, even in the artwork. The look of the rooms was designed to give you the feeling of a European apartment, and they are simply gorgeous!
As a family of six, we are always looking for accommodations with flexible sleeping arrangements. It seems like Disney is getting better and better at offering more options for larger families and Disney’s Riviera Resort does a wonderful job of this. In a Deluxe Studio, you will find a standard Queen Bed, a queen-size Murphy bed, and a bunk-size pull-down bed. Both the Murphy bed and the bunk fold up during the daytime to maximize the living space in the room.
The pull-down single that you are asking about is considered a “bunk size” and not a twin. From my understanding, this bunk is about 6 inches narrower and 2 to 3 inches shorter than a twin. While it may not work well for a larger adult, smaller adults and kids should be comfortable. I am fairly petite and I have rested comfortably on these bunks before.
I hope this helps with your planning, Susan. Please let us know if there are any additional questions we can help you with!
