Which deluxe resort would you recommend for a 2 year old? He enjoys kiddie pools and splash pads. Thanks so much!

There is absolutely no question about the best pool at Walt Disney World - this is the Stormalong Bay pool which is shared by the Yacht and Beach Club resorts. Stormalong Bay is three acres big, with a lazy river for floating and two water slides. But the best part of the pool is the sand-bottom kiddie play area. This area includes a sand dune where kids can dig and make castles, with no fear of having their creations washed over by a wave. When my girls were preschoolers we spent countless hours there.

A close second in the little-kid water play department would be the pool area at the Kidani Village at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I stayed at Kidani in September and was impressed with the variety and creativity of the interactive water play stations.

However, I would strongly recommend that you choose Yacht or Beach Club over Kidani Village. Kidani is a nice hotel, but I found it to be VERY far away from the theme parks, and even from the main Animal Kingdom Lodge building. The Yacht and Beach are step away from Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios - an amazingly convenient location.
