As a Deluxe Resort guest, do I need to have an Epcot Park Reservation to join the 6pm Guardians virtual queue tomorrow for extended evening hours at Epcot? My current park reservation for tomorrow is for Magic Kingdom. Do I need to change it to Epcot?

Cake! Toast! Welcome to the galaxy called planDisney, Kathy. And while those illustrious Guardians of the Galaxy might shout random and hilarious words, we tend to focus on helping guests streamline their Walt Disney World Resort visits. Let's dive into the thrilling world of late-night fun at the theme parks.

Extended Evening Theme Park Hours are a fabulous perk of staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort, so I'm thrilled you're going to take advantage of those extra hours of fun. I double-checked with a helpful Cast Member who confirmed that you would need a theme park reservation for EPCOT to enjoy the extended time if you have one-park-per-day admission and your ticket is not date-based.

If you have the Park Hopper Option on your ticket, you can keep your Magic Kingdom Park reservation and hop to EPCOT whenever you like. Be sure your resort reservation is linked to your account because you'll need to scan in to prove eligibility for the Extended Evening Hours.

One tip about that 6:00 PM virtual queue is that you do not need to be scanned in at EPCOT to try to join the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind queue. If you change your reservation and spend the day at EPCOT, you could head back to your resort for a nap and pool time until it's time for the Extended Evening Hours. You could join the 6:00 PM virtual queue from your deck chair!

Kathy, I hope you make some magical memories on this trip; planDisney is always here to help. Remember, we are Groot!

    Magic awaits,
