Greetings Jackie! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'd be happy to help! My friend,
Brandy, did some research on this question last year, and she shared what she found out.
Morimoto Asia, located in Disney Springs, is a single entitlement restaurant for lunch and is two entitlements for dinner on the
Disney Dining Plan. Since you'll be on the
Deluxe Plan, your meal will consist of an appetizer, an entree, a dessert, and a beverage (alcoholic beverages are now included for Guests 21 and older). Appetizer selections include any one item from the Small Plates, Dim Sum, Sushi Rolls or a cup of soup (Miso or Hot & Sour). Entrees can be any combination of the following: two Sushi Rolls, two Dim Sum, two Small Plates, an Entree Salad, or a single selection from the Meat & Poultry, Noodles & Rice, Half-Rack Morimoto Spare Ribs, Fish, or Vegetable sections of the menu. The Morimoto Peking Duck is a popular choice, and a whole duck serves two people, so four dining credits will be used if you choose to order it for dinner.
I was fortunate to meet Morimoto Asia's executive chef on our Disney Cruise this summer. When we dined at his restaurant after getting off the ship, we were treated to one of the best meals I've had in a long time. My kids happily gobbled up the Portobello Mushroom Fries and Morimoto Spare Ribs, which were incredible! My favorite entree was the comforting Morimoto "Buri-Bop," which was prepared tableside in a piping hot clay pot. The Sake Sangria was the perfect refreshing drink after spending the day in the Florida sun. It will be hard, but make sure to save room for the Churro Fondue- you won't be disappointed!
I hope this gives you some food for thought, Jackie!
