Hi Debbie! Did you pose your question to me because you heard I'm the Mom who fumigates her hotel rooms with Lysol? Yeah, I can be a tad obsessive-compulsive about cleanliness when I'm traveling. Like you, I've sometimes encountered hotel rooms that weren't as immaculate as I wanted them to be, so I understand your concern. Thankfully, I've found that the deluxe resorts at Disney are generally very clean, which is one of the reasons I love them so. The Grand Floridian particularly impressed me on our last stay there because the Mousekeeper changed our sheets every night during our visit! That's a rarity at hotels these days!
Did you know that the resort hotel pages on the Disney website now contain traveler reviews from Trip Advisor? You can bet that if a hotel has cleanliness issues, the people who post on Trip Advisor don't hesitate to let you know. You can see recent guest comments on the pages for the
Boardwalk and
Old Key West, both of which receive favorable ratings.
Whether you're staying at a deluxe, moderate, or value resort at Disney World, you should expect a clean room. Disney wants its guests to be happy, and if you ever feel the cleanliness of your room is not on par with Disney standards, you should definitely speak up immediately. If you desire
a freshly-laundered bedspread or you think an area of your room needs more
housekeeping attention, don't hesitate to make such a request. The Mousekeepers are very responsive and aim to please.
Hope that you have a magical vacation! Come visit me again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions!
