We have the delux plan and I wanted to know if using a credit at a quick service are children and adult credits kept track of separately? Do we need to specify which type? Can an adult use one of the childrens credits and still be able to get alcohol?

Hi, Tiffany! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How great to hear you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort and are already planning a very important aspect of the trip, your meals!

The Disney Deluxe Dining Plan is the most comprehensive pre-paid meal system of all. As you may already know, everyone in your party will receive three meals and two snacks per night of your stay. This meal plan does not restrict the type of meals you can get, you may choose to use those three entitlements per day at sit-down restaurants or quick-service locations if you'd like to. However, there is a differentiation between the menu choices for adults and children. Children must order from the children's menu, and alcohol, as you can imagine, is not an eligible item on that menu and can therefore not be ordered as part of a child's meal.

Your server will scan a MagicBand, usually only one for the entire party and will redeem as many entitlements as needed, based on those who are dining, children and adults separately. You can always specify or double check how many entitlements are being redeemed at a meal. Remember that certain experiences such as Character Dining at Cinderella's Royal Table or Signature Dining at some elegant restaurants will use two credits per person. If you would like to know how many credits everyone in your party has left, you can check the receipt and find the balance at the bottom of it or visit your hotel lobby and ask a friendly Cast Member.

Tiffany, remember that it is advisable to make dining reservations 180 days before your vacation starts. You may call 407-939-3463, use the website, or the My Disney Experience app to book your favorite restaurants and experiences.

I hope this has been helpful.

    Happy Disney Dining,
    ~Desiree

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
