We have the Delux ddp and want to know where we should eat at, staying at the contempo so would like to stick to mk and monorail, kids are 4,6,8. Already know that we want Chef Mickey, ohana, C. Palace, 1900 park fare, what else would the kids love?

    Hi Tara,

You've already listed the most kid-friendly table service spots in the Magic Kingdom and monorail line area. If you have girls, they'd probably also love to eat at Cinderella's Royal Table in the castle.

Beyond that, I'd like to suggest that you branch out, just a bit. There is direct boat service in the Magic Kingdom area to both the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. There are some wonderful dining opportunities at these resorts.

At the Wilderness Lodge, the Whispering Canyon Cafe is a favorite of mine, and my kids. The fun starts in the lobby where you'll find a large table filled with Lincoln Logs, so you can build your own Wilderness Lodge while you wait. The dining room features some of the friendliest, funnest servers at Walt Disney World. They organize hobby horse races, pass out wooden nickels, and make sure that everyone in the room knows who needs ketchup with their meal :-)

Also at the Wilderness Lodge is my personal favorite signature dining restaurant: Artist Point. This one is more for you than the kids, but kids are certainly welcome. Artist Point is the perfect blend of cozy and elegant, with absolutely delicious food.

Fort Wilderness features the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, a fun-filled dinner show with the best fried chicken and ribs around. I first took my family there when my twins were four years old, and we've been back at least once every year since then. (They're now 12.) This is truly a show that appeals to all ages.

While you may be spending most of your time at the MK. My guess is that you'll also be visiting the other parks. These have many wonderful dining experiences as well. Let us know if you'd like suggestions in those areas.
