Welcome back, Janice!
One of my favorite parts of setting sail with Captain Mickey and his crew on a
Disney Cruise Line voyage is embarkation day! After we've checked in at the port terminal and it's time to board, we take a family photo, then walk onto the ship. Cast Members are waiting as we enter the atrium lobby on Deck Three to welcome us by announcing our family name and applauding our arrival! My kids feel like royalty as the first set foot into the atrium of the ship and make their way through rows of clapping Cast Members, smiling big, and welcoming us onboard. I cannot wait for your family to experience this on your very first Disney Cruise! So much is
included in the cost of the cruise, and there really is
something for everyone!
Now, guests only enter and exit on Deck Three through the atrium on embarkation and debarkation days. Any other debarking and embarking at various ports of call will be done from Midship or Aft of Deck One. As long as it's not a port where tendering is required, the ship will pull up to the dock, and ramps will be placed at two spots so guests can come and go from Deck One. There, the security team will check your Key To The World Card as you leave and when you return, so be sure to bring those for all members of your family, even the little ones, each time you leave the ship.
You're in for so much magic when you head out to sea and enjoy a luxurious trip to so many exciting ports of call! Have fun planning, Janice!
