With the
Café Orleans Fantasmic! dining package, the reserved viewing areas are standing-room-only and do not include chairs or benches. That said, some Guests do find limited support toward the back of the viewing area, where low walls or railings may be available to lean against. It’s important to keep a couple of things in mind. Because these spots are located at the back of the section, the view is still enjoyable but not as immersive as being closer to the water. Additionally, whether leaning against these walls is permitted can vary and is ultimately up to Cast Member discretion, as they may need to keep walkways clear for safety and accessibility.
If guaranteed seating is a priority, there is another dining package that may be a better fit.
River Belle Terrace offers a premium Fantasmic! dining package with seated viewing on the restaurant’s outdoor patio. This experience is typically available for the first
Fantasmic! performance of the evening (often around 9:00 PM) and includes a leisurely three-course meal that usually begins around 7:15 PM. After dining, Guests are escorted to the patio viewing area, which is located just across the walkway from the Rivers of America. While the view is slightly farther from the action than the ground-level reserved areas, the comfort of a chair can make all the difference, especially for Guests who need a little extra support during the show.
No matter which option you choose, I highly recommend making
advance dining reservations as soon as your booking window opens, as Fantasmic! dining packages are extremely popular and can fill quickly.
Here’s a Q-Tip: plan to arrive at your assigned viewing area about 45 to 60 minutes before showtime to choose the most comfortable spot within your section. And if you’re attending the first Fantasmic! performance of the night, you’re already perfectly positioned to enjoy the nighttime spectacular afterward (with fireworks on select evenings), making it a truly magical way to wrap up your Disneyland day.
