Ahoy, Cindy!
In the last few years, I have embraced booking last minute cruises, which I never thought I could do since I love the planning and anticipation so much. But, it's a lot of fun to only have a few weeks or months to count down!
The good news I have for you is that many of the
activities offered aboard Disney Cruise Line are fleet wide. For adults this includes activities like the Beverage Seminars, Krazy Karaoke, trivia and Match Your Mate. I've always found that crafts, Bingo, game shows like So You Think You Know Your Family and A Pirate's Life For Me are on all my sailings. You'll also find this to be true with the youth programming. One of my son's favorite games to play in the Oceaneer Club is GaGa Ball, and he has played on every ship! The differences you'll find will be in the Broadway-style shows because some of them are exclusive to one ship like Frozen, A Musical Spectacular on the Disney Wonder and Tangled: The Musical on the Disney Magic. If you are thinking about a cruise longer than three nights, variety performers will also vary by ship. Also, the longer sailings will be able to offer more activities with the added time, but it also may mean that they will repeat some activities. We always enjoy this because it does give us some flexibility with our scheduling.
No matter which ship or itinerary you select, you will find lots of shipboard fun! Your first cruise newsletter will be given to you at check-in at the cruise terminal so you can start planning right away. Each night one will magically appear in your stateroom for the following day. You can also download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to use for free while aboard. It's another great resource for everything you can do on a Disney Cruise.
Good luck with your decision!
