We are deciding between Animal Kingdom Lodge, Polynesian, Contemporary, or Wilderness Lodge to stay at. Can you supply some pros and cons of each and your recommendation? Easy access to parks, nice pool, and dining for kids 8 and 12 yrs old a must.

Hi, Craig!  The pros of the Polynesian and the Contemporary are transportation to EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom, which can be easily achieved via monorail.  The monorail goes right through the Contemporary, which also offers a short walking trail to the Magic Kingdom, and is a great location if you plan to make the Magic Kingdom a big part of your trip.  The monorail also gives easy access to the Grand Floridian, so if you have dining reservation there, the Polynesian, or the Contemporary, the monorail is a great way to get around.

The pools are awesome at all of these resorts, From your list, my kids prefer the pools at the Polynesian and Wilderness Lodge.  The Polynesian has an amazing volcano pool with water slide, and my girls just love the enormous pool at Wilderness Lodge.

You will be hard pressed to find anything at all like Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Surrounded by savannas filled with incredible animals, this is a unique experience that many kids love.  My two younger girls (12 and 7) could almost spend their entire vacation checking out the animals and enjoying the pool.

At any of the resorts on your list, you'll find both counter service dining and table service restaurants.  My gang loves 'Ohana at the Polynesian for a family style dinner, and Animal Kingdom Lodge has two of our favorite restaurants anywhere, Boma and Jiko.  Any of the restaurants will have kid friendly offerings on the menu, and even on my girls' pickiest days, I've been able to find meals for them.  One of the most fun restaurants at Walt Disney World is Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge.

I hope this gives you ideas to help narrow down your options!  You know where you can find me if you need more help!
