If I decided to run in a half marathon is there any special rates for the resorts ? Thinking about doing it in February and is the parks crowded Thank you Maria

    Hi Maria!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm delighted to hear you are considering running in the Disney Princess Half Marathon! It was my first runDisney event I ever did, so it holds a special place in my heart!

If you'd like assistance in booking your vacation package for a runDisney event, I'd recommend booking through the Sports Travel line by calling 407-939-iRun. While they don't have a definitive rate reduction, they do block rooms for folks traveling for runDisney events and I have found their rates to usually be lower since they are held on a group rate. As it is for most vacations, the earlier you book the better to guarantee the best rate!

For crowds, it depends on what time of the year you are used to traveling. February is historically known for being one of the lowest crowded months, but since the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend does bring so many Princesses into town, it won't be as low of crowds as you'll find on other February weekends. It will be significantly lower than anything you'll experience around the holidays or in the summertime though! I do find that most Princesses head to either Epcot or Magic Kingdom after the race, so if you plan on doing a park after you finish your race, Disney's Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom may be your best plan!

Please let me know if there is any other way I can help you plan your function!
