Is December considered a non-peak season? We are planning a trip in Dec, but aren't sure if there will be large crowds.

    Hi David -

The crowd levels are extremely different depending on when in December you're planning to visit. The first two weeks of the month are definitely the low season, crowds will be moderate and park touring will be easy. It's one of my favorite times of the year to visit WDW - light crowds and lots of wonderful holiday activities.

However, as it gets closer to Christmas, attendance at the parks increases exponentially. In 2011, the influx of guests will begin around December 19 as various school districts throughout the country begin to let out for break. The week between Christmas and New Year's Day is always the busiest one of the year. Crowds will be at their maximum and lines will be long.

    Good luck with your planning!
